Balsam Fir | Abies balsamea

Balsam Firs are great evergreens for shady spots and moist areas. They like cool temperatures and acidic soils. They dislike pollution and exposure. Soft-needled firs like these have a tendency to winter burn if they are faced with too much winter sun and wind. Their symmetry and fragrance are lovely.
