Betony, Hummelo | Stachys monieri
Most gardeners are familiar with the silver foliaged lamb’s ears. There are also a number of Stachys species with green foliage that are wonderful plants in the perennial garden. ‘Hummelo’ produces spikes of rosy-pink flowers that grow to 20″ in height by mid-summer. These flowers arise from a mound of basal foliage that is slightly glossy and dark green in color. Plant in full sun and well-drained soils.
